| Kirkville, NY My husband and I spent the weekend at this wonderful inn. My husband who is not a big fan of B&Bs had a great time. Very relaxing. Two person jacuzzi is perfect for a romantic night! The mango waffles are out of this world! Albany, NY My partner and I had the pleasure of visiting Sparrowhawk Affairs in celebration of her birthday. The goal was to get away from the stress of everyday life. This goal was met in style at Sparrowhawk. We were impressed by the accommodations at this B&B. From the open bar policy to the incredible breakfast (especially the sweet potato pancakes), they have thought of everything. For instance, they have a microwave conveniently available for guests use with microwave popcorn to boot. The place is beautifully decorated and the owner has a unique gift shop containing the most wonderful Mid-Hudson (and beyond) finds. In addition, the owner makes it clear that anything in the place is for sale, including the furnishings in each guest room. Saturday morning we enjoyed a long walk on one of several walking trails and a nice dinner in town. Overall it was a nice quiet, comforting weekend. We found a place to live, but we told them we would be back for breakfast now and then! You no longer have to wait till 9am to eat, they will serve you whenever it is you are ready for breakfast (Very nice if you are planning on doing something that would have you leave before 9am) I did not notice the noise and stayed in one of the rooms that face the road. The host were very helpful. The backyard was nice and relaxing. I had heard some bad stuff about the old owners and I think these new owners are doing a good job fixing all the things that was wrong.
